SS benifits

Ask:
I found out that not only will I be getting benefits from SS but Hunter will also get about half of what I get each month until he is 18, 21 if a full time student

I can finally buy him supplies for ABA without having to fight the state wavier program, this is such a relief for me.
Answer:

Yes this is very helpful, I am so glad for you. When I'm ready there are funds that I can use to go to school. Here there is a waiting list but it all helps. Relax if you can for a wile. Also I think they back pay you 3 months But hard for me to remember why they did that for me.
Answer:

Yes, now you won't have to worry about the $ as much as before. Congrats!
Answer:

That's great!!! It all helps!
Answer:

Oh yeah, after 2 years if you are still on it you can receive medicare insurance.
Answer:

But w/the Medicare, you're covered for hospital, but the deductible is over $900. For office visits, you have to pay for monthly coverage, currently around $78-85. So, you would have to evaluate whether to be on your dh's plan or not. Having those funds direct deposited is the best, safest way. They will ask you to verify yearly that Hunter's funds went for him, but it's just basically a short affidavit you fill out. We parents know we spend that stipend and more monthly on our child.
Answer:

Glad to read that you're both getting the benefits. This has got to be a burden lifted from your shoulders.

See, good things happen to good people.
