Ask:
I just read an interesting blurb about being a slave to communication tools- fax, cell phone, pager, PDA/blackberry, high tech internet set-up... these things can take a bite out of your time keeping up with them.
I have a cell phone, which I rarely use, and my computer. Dh has a PDA, plus his computer set-up. No fax, no pager (anymore- HOORAY)- though sometimes I feel like a fax machine would be convenient (ever notice how people just assume you have one?).
How are the rest of you set up? Do you feel like it takes a lot of your time to maintain? Is it worth it?
Answer:
I have a fax, but only use it if I really need it and do not advertise the number. I have a cell phone and use it fairly regularly. I have a PDA, but have gotten away from using it although, I really want to use it more. I use my high tech internet. DO NOT KNOW WHERE I WOULD BE WITHOUT IT!!!
I do not know that it takes a lot of time to maintain, well, I guess if I was using my PDA the way I should, it would. Is it worth it?? I guess it depends on how it is all being used... I truly do not like being without my cell phone when I go out and wonder how I did without it! Not to necessarily make phone calls all the time, but just in case something happens and you need it.
Answer:
All I have is a cell phone only for emergencies so it is pay as you go. And the Internet. I like being unable to be found when I'm out I could never talk that much to people. I just might not be that important though.
