Where Do You Buy Your Gardening Supplies?

Ask:
Where do you buy everything? Seeds, soil, supplies, seedlings?

I bought at Walmart last year for some, and wasn't very thrilled. I also bought from a small, private greenhouse. It was more expensive, but the plants held up really well. Where have you had luck?
Answer:

We have a place here called Ocean State Job Lot, its like one of those Close OUt places. I've gotten some great deals on bulbs and garden supplies there. This past spring I got some day lillies for $2 a piece and they were beautiful!

I've also had good luck at another place called Christmas Tree Shoppe, not sure if its a New England thing, but its a great place to go for deals.

I can get seeds pretty cheap from Walmart, and Joanns has some really cute garden items.
Answer:

ehh some of the stuff at walmart is ok but like live stuff usually doens't look good at walmart. i get all my tools and seeds there but if i'm looking for live plants then i'd go to home depot.
Answer:

I get most of mine at a small local green house that sells flowers at all different stage and at awesome prices. You can buy baby petunias and other plants there in spring and have beautiful blooms my summer. I know it is more expensive but I like to buy the bulbs that are planted and almost in bloom (Daffodils and Hycanith) ...then I know I am not planting duds. Sometimes I get bulbs and stuff off of Freecycle. I traded Tiger Lilies for Iris' with one member.

I don't know I need to find a new place. I am sure that there is a greenhouse or something around me...but I don't know where. WalMart is close...but sounds like not a swell place to buy plants. We also have a Home Depot. I am ordering from a catalog this year for some of my things for the first time, but didn't think about the dud factor. I may rethink that now...
Answer:

Last yr we could not start seeds in our greenhouse window due to ds's age and we got all live plants at Walmart. We had good luck and it was pretty cheap. It was the best crop of zuchinni, green beans, and jalapenos we ever had. This yr I am going to buy seeds again and start them - it is cheaper.
Answer:

We usually get ours from Lowe's, Walmart if they look ok, and/or a local greenhouse. My dh has ordered a few things through the mail too - those seem to be hit or miss.
