I think i'm pretty lucky well my son is lucky becasue here latley a few of our friends are having babies. DS already has 5 "friends" all within a year and 3 of them are actually within 3-4 months of him. I'm excited becasue I know the parents so that makes me happy for when he's old enough to have other kids his age to play with.
Are any of you lucky enough to have close friends with kids close in age with your kids! I keep telling my parents that i'd so totally rather be friends with the parents so i know what goes on then have strangers.

Yeah actually it is that way with my two oldest, I had several girlfriends who were pregnant at the same time as me and our kids have all grown up together. they are 10 and 7 and stilll play with their baby buddies as we moms call them. I feel bad for my little one Isabell she is two and we only know one other toddler her age and he is all boy and she is all girl and they clash big time, but thats okay cause me and my girlfriend are convinced that they are gonna grow up and get married.

Actually - the street we just moved to there were 2 other women due in Oct. - (when I was due) - and both boys! One lady had a baby boy over the summer, our next door neighbor had a girl over the summer, other next door neighbor has a 1-ish year old. Accross the road they're due w/a baby boy any day now. And I know there are at least 3 other little girls in the 3 and under range on our street.
I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old- and I predict our street being very loud and busy in the coming years!

We have one other couple that our sons are only 4 days apart, her and I were bfs when we were pregant. Now that we both have kids (she has 4 to my 2) we hardly get to make time together. Maybe someday.
I think its great while they were little but dont be upset if they dont continue when they are older! They may find their own group to hang with.

I'm really hoping that I can keep up my relationships with the friends who all have kids now ds's age!! I told dh that we don't just have friends for us anymore we have to think about ds!
