Ask:
I Just read this is a magazine. *You can add 1 cup of white vinegar to the clothes and put through the rinse cycle. Gets rid of that horrid smell!
I remember this because I saw on another thread how sometimes we waste water rewashing trying to get the smell out of clothes after they end up sitting in the washer.
HTHs!!

Does it work??? I am thinking easter eggs.
Answer:
I havn't tried it yet, but I'm thinking it should be fine. Vinegar doesn't usually leave an odor and is used to cut certain odors.

I have heard that about vinegar, they say to place it in rooms where you are trying to get rid of smells.
Thanks for the tip. I am always re-washing clothes.
Answer:
My MIL has always used 1 cup of baking soda to cut the "sour" smell for towels. I have used this trick when I've, um, left clothes in the washer too and it seems to do the trick.
I usually put the vinegar in the my softner rinse place and the baking soda in the laundry tub. I can say it does work!
