Warning on diarrhea vaccine for infants

Ask:

ok so wow....not cool
Answer:

My dr. mentioned this shot to us once, shortly after Ian was born (right before it was approved for widespread vaccination). I did a little research, saw that there had been problems with the previous vaccination for rotavirus, and decided that it was just too new & I wasn't going to have Ian get it. Well the dr. never even mentioned it again when Ian was getting his shots, and I am now VERY glad that I didn't have him get it!
Answer:

well i know i don't remember the dr saying anything about it to me for my son but i'm glad i know that now!! isn't this the shot that they advertise so much in the baby mags??
Answer:

Yes they do advertise it.

What good does adding a warning to the label do? parents never see the label!
Answer:

I will have to remember this. I will be having a little one in July and will think twice about it. As long as you get the right care and watch that your little one is hydrated diarrhea won't kill them...but the intestine tying itself in knots could.

Answer:

I guess I'm a little confused - this talks about shots - but my son got the rotavirus vaccine, and it's oral ?
