Ask:
each month when you get your period? I have friends who are TTC who get really down-and-out each month. We really try not to. I haven't been depressed when my period comes, just disappointed. I keep telling myself that God has a plan, and that I need to trust in Him. (And to be honest, this month, I was more disappointed that we couldn't have Valentine's Day sex! )
What about the rest of you? Do you get really sad when you get your period? Have you had to get medication to deal with depression caused by infertility? How do you deal with it?
Answer:
I am a surviver of the infertility rollercoaster and yes frequently I would get sad when my period came. I gave it time on my own, but after 6 months of nothing happening I could not help it. I felt so alone because alot of my friends and family at the time were pregnant with their first, second etc and often they did not try for very long. I am a practicing Catholic and at one point I lost my faith in God. I was angry at him for not giving us a child, which we so desperately waited for and wanted. We were at a good point in our lives. We had worked hard, had a nice home and a nice nest egg to srtart a family. We had to stgep outside of natural conception and had to do ART for all of our children. I had my DS from IUI and my B/G twins from IVF. I have restored my faith in God and just realized I was angry at him. Good luck with your TTC venture.

Answer:
For me personally, each time we were TTC (total of 4 times - 2 miscarriages), it happened within 3 months each time so I didn't get too upset. However, my bf was a mess each time she got her period when they were TTC. But now they are happily expecting twins!
Answer:
Rachel, I used to get very sad and depressed when it came, I think its a normal reaction when you are trying so hard to conceive. I am defintly saying a prayer for you that it doesn't come next month. Hugs to you.
