Overweight and Preggo?

Ask:
DH and I are trying for #3 and I would say to be my perfect weight, I should lose 50-60 pounds (however this would make me tiny) so MY idea weight would be about 30 pounds loss...anyways...

Is there any one who has any advice besides lose weight! LOL!
Answer:

I'm sorry; I don't understand your question. What type of advice are you looking for? Do you mean to get pregnant?
Answer:

The only suggestion I would have is to just keep trying. I see what you are saying though. I have also heard that if you are overweight and then lose quite a bit of weight you are more likely to get pregnant. I am not sure if that is true or not but it does seem to happen to many people! Good Luck. Sorry I couldn't help much.
Answer:

I guess I was asking if anyone had any negative experiences being overweight and pregnant? Or if being heavy is ok while preggo? That's all...
Answer:

I would definately think being heavy would make your pregnancy harder while you are pregnant just having to carry the extra weight and the baby weight, you probably will be more tired . And it will be harder to lose after having the baby.I don't know if the risks are higher that would be something to talk to your doctor about. I have a feeling just asking you know the answer. I am planning on trying for baby #3 next year, and before each of my babies I made it a must to lose the weight first. I can never get rid of the last 10lbs though. urgggg!
Answer:

I was overweight when I was pregnant and did not have any problems. We did not have problems getting pregnant and my pregnancy was great. I would say that my doctor didn't want me to gain more than 20 lbs. which I worked hard to stay under. My health was good (no high bp, no gestational diabetes, etc.) I think it is just different for everyone.

I would just talk to your doctor about it.

The one downside, my doctor said it was harder to get a really clear sonogram picture to determine the sex of the baby. Othen than that - it was great!!!

Answer:

When I was pregnant with my first child I was 18 and slim, and gained 50 lbs. Well, I lost it and then come. I got pregnant with second baby, and gained 70 lbs. Yes, SEVENTY. and lost 50. So when I became pregnant with this child I was still holding onto about 20 lbs. I will say I feel pretty huge, but it hasnt been terrible. I was 159 lbs when I got pregnant, and 5 foot, 6 inches tall..
Answer:

With both my pregnancies i was over weight. I did have morning sickness but i don't believe that had to do with my weight. I didn't have any complications and i in fact lost weight with both. I ended up weighing less then i did before i got pregnant after i had them.
Answer:

I was at my highest weight when I got pregnant this time around. My doctor said I should gain around 20lbs. Well I have only gained 4 and I've only got a week to go! It simply transferred from me to baby. I don't know how often this happens but I am very thankful it did. I wasn't looking forward to 20 more lbs.
Answer:

With my first child I weighed 220 when I got pregnant, and 2 weeks after I delivered I weighed 175. BEST diet ever!!!!!
