Two Preschoolers

Ask:
Okay I have two daughters that are preschool age, does anyone else have any ideas how I can teach both of them. I've been having a lot of trouble as both seem to be different kind of learners?
Answer:

Do they go to a preschool? Mine always did. I had one in 3's and one in 4's for a couple of years. Otherwise tailor certain activities to each of them.
Answer:

They do not go to preschool, I've been told to have my 3 year old tested because she seems to have too short of an attention span. How can you tell I thought all 3 year olds had a short attention span, she is very hyper, but I would hate to act like she has ADD or something this soon. I did mention it to the doctor and she said to just continue keeping an eye on her. I would hate for her to get behind once she does start school. She's smart, but it's very hard to teach her anything. I think she plays stupid to tell you the truth. She will act like she doesn't know it and then a few minutes later I can hear her in the other room, like with her ABC's.
Answer:

Can you play games with them like Dora's ABC and Candyland? My daughter likes wooden puzzles, flash cards, workbooks, educational computer games - and the Leapster is great! Also, I print activities from NickJrs website.

I buy computer games (CDs), books & workbooks from dollar general. They have character themed items that might help.

She also has a short attention span. I just switch gears when she is done with something.
Answer:

My boys are different from each other, too. Carson is the oldest and he likes to learn. Parker likes to learn in his own time. With the abc's for example, he refused to learn them. Actually, he told me he didn't want to learn them. Every time that I would bring out the puzzle or books to work with him, he would find something else to talk about or look at. Instead of making it a negative experience for him, I figured out that he liked music. We bought the leapfrog video Letter Factory where they teach the letters through music. He loved it and learned all the letters after only 2 or 3 viewings. Then he was proud to sing the songs and show me what he knew.

Just find out what your daughter likes and see if you can fit it in to her learning.
