I know that this sounds like a pain in the butt, but when you start doing this it helps big time. I've done this because my kid's room can get unbearable and needs to be reorganized at least once a month and I've found that when I started doing this I didn't have to throw out so much at one time, and them freak out over it. I really only do this with our closets and then do the pantry every season. Most things get put in the back and you forget you have it.

I agree! I do this too. I find if you go through them once a month, it often only takes a minute or two rather than hours once year. It's a great way to keep on top of the clutter in closets and cupboards.

What a great idea. I need to stay on top of my girl's closets. I find that i neglect their room. I end up with clothes too small and it just becomes a mess. Argh!!!
