my kitchen and joined dining room is done in a coffee theme.My colors are black,brown,tan,and like a burnt red.The pictues in my kitchen are coffee sign type prints and my dining room has 2 of women at a cafe drinking tea and coffee.I have little espresso cups and plates around and stuff.
Sounds probably girlie but not really,I'm lucky I guess cause even my husband really likes it and I try to be considerate of him since he has to be gone alot.

The walls are a light yellow with dark cabinets and dark granite. THe tiles on the floor pick up the wall color. Then I have roosters around- 1 pic. of a rooster on the wall and a few roosters in the glass corner cabinets.

My old kitchen was in the coffee theam and I loved it, but it would look funny in my new country house so I have a country kitchen. I used antique kitchen things to decorate and have a glass rooster. the walls are in pine green and the trim in in oak. I wish I had some wall space but I dont so not much on the walls.

Two-tone cabinets, grey-flecked counter top, ivory and black toile window coverings, black and white appliances. There isn't a specific theme but I do have a few additions of red every now and then.
I have ONE rooster on top of my refrigerator.
I have a string of mini-apples across the window in the door leading to the backyard.
I have a tiny pair of real cowboy boots on a shelf over the pantry that have a red star on the front.
Over the other pantry door is a sign that says, "My house was clean yesterday. Sorry you missed it."
I have a little magnet on my refrigerator door that is a tiny windchime. It tinkles everytime someone opens the frig door.
I have a 'kitchen witch' hanging from the ceiling.
The main decoration in the room is a large framed print of a rose. I hung that there until I could find something better but I haven't found anything else yet.

I now have my dream kitchen. My cabinets are beadboard in a natural maple. I have Corain countertops in a very neutral color. I have a lot of Fiestaware so I hung plates above the cabinets and then have used black as an accent color. My favorite thing is the island which is 4 ft x 8 ft. My old kitchen was a galley and so small and dark. We built on 12 feet for a laudnry room and larger kitchen. I could stay in there all day now.

I really like my kitchen, I just wish I could refinish the cabinets in a darker stain. They are light brown, like a honey color. We did put in silestone countertops and a custom tile backsplash to match. They are great. My kitchen has earthy brown walls with country accents. I have tile throughtout that matchs the coutertops and backsplash. It is very open, so I am always with my family. Once I get that stain done...it will be a dream.

My kitchen is old as well but we put in a cream colored tile floor and are getting ready to paint and hang border. I am a Coca-Cola freak so I bet you can't guess how my kitchen is decorated. We also have all black appliances.

So, what's a kitchen witch? I see a couple of you mention it, don't know that I've ever heard of or seen one!
My kitchen and dining area are all one open area, kind of plain or neutral I guess, but it is an apartment so I can't do too much, and it has all white appliances, just plain light light beige/white flooring and white countertops w/ just a bit of beige. My curtains and accessories are a couple shades of green with bits of ivy here and there, nothing much on the walls, not really much room for it! I do have a few plates and bowls on a shelf and hanging above it on one wall--both for decoration and storage--they are serving pieces I don't have a good place to store!
