1st Grade reader

Hasd to share went for meeting with my daughters teacher and principal yesterday because she was having some troubles at school and found out she is ahead of all the other first grade kids on her reading she is at the top of the chart.I just had to brag because I was impressed with her after finding that out before when we got to the school I was not to happy but after we found out she was doing that good in reading I was so happy.

Yes I am very excited about it .It really surprised me too .For her only being in first grade she is starting to read chapter books she got her first one the other day it is a Junie B.book she really likes it.

My daughter is 5 and is in preschool and they are constantly making comments about her being "Junie B"

I am not familiar with these books ...

are their comments good or bad???

The books are pretty good my daughter just bought her 2nd one they are funny.

my dd who is in 1st grade is into Cam Jansen !! she is one of th top readers in her class and could read Chapter books but wont!! so I a happy to have her into the Can Jansen ones!! the only other chapter books she will read is the American Girl books!!
Dh is against her reading the Juni B Jones books HE yelled at me for an hour for getting her one from the library!! soo I have to find other ones for her!!! oh well!!

Can I ask if you don't mind what your husband has against the Junie B. books.I don't know to much about them just know my daughter really likes them they we're the first chapter book she found and wanted .I will have to check out these other ones you mention and see if she would like them too.

Junie B Jones uses language such as "stupid", "dumb", and others that my kids consider "bad words".
My dd, first grade also, likes Magic Tree House too. There is also a Princess Elle series.
