Orange Glow on Hardwood floors?

Ask:
Our house has hardwood floors. I see that the previous owners left Orange Glow in their cupboards. I was wondering if this product is good to use to clean hardwood floors.
Answer:

I wouldn't reccommend it. My mom used it on her hardwood floors for a while and it cleans good but it left them SOOOO SLIPPERY!! You couldn't walk on them without falling.
Answer:

I'm such a dork....I thought you were having some sort of orange glow coming off your hardwood floors. Haha....like a spirit or something...... I thought oh cool another ghost thread. Why it was orange i had no idea.
Ok i need to go to bed.
Good night.
Answer:

Now that you say that, yes it is slippery. The previous owners cleaned this place top to bottom and our living room is a skating rink!

What else can I use? I know swiffer is no good. It leaves the floors dull and streaky.
Answer:

We use orange glo on our hardwood floors. It does leave the floor slippery for a day or two but our kids love that. I haven't found anything else that shines and cleans like the orange glo does though. We actually bought an orange glo system (comes with a mop and a couple different cleaners). There's a spray bottle for quick touch-ups and then there's a pour bottle for our once-a-month cleaning. I guess they also have one that's a proctector/sealant or something like that to use every 6 months or so but we haven't tried that yet.
Answer:

Sometimes I just use a damp mop but mainly stick to Murphys Oil soap for wood floors. Maybe I will have to give the Orange Glow a try.
Answer:

I use Murphy's Oil Soap. It is great. Sometimes I use just vinegar and water, but I like the smell of Murphy's Oil Soap.

I had read some bad things on Orange Glo when we were getting our wood floors installed so I stayed away from it. Can't remember where it was, but something I googled and something someone here had said. I don't remember who it was now.
Answer:

We have wood floors and i use vinegar and water with a little bit of olive oil in it. It makes your wood floors shine!
Answer:

I also use vinegar and water on our hardwood floors. ksmom - I like the idea of adding olive oil. how much do you use? I'll have to give it a try next time I get around to mopping...
Answer:

How much vinegar do you add to the water? (How much water?) I also have wood floors and had used the Swiffer Wet Jet but it leaves them looking dull and streaky. Today I used Murphy's Oil Soap and they look clean right now but I wonder how much of a film is left on them from the Swiffer stuff. I heard vinegar and water is supposed to get rid of any type of film. Any help would be appreciated.
