I am deathly allergic to bees but love to garden and play in my flower bed....a creative and cute way to combat the bees....I attached bird houses to garden stakes...filled them with moth balls(which fend off bees)and placed them randomly throughout my flower beds...looks cute and I'm less afraid to be near something flowering

Wow!~ Thanks for this tip. I'm going to do this around my kitchen door. The bees congregate there for some reason. There is always at least one of those big dumb carpenter bees that will guard my door like a dog. He looks right in my face and dares me to come out!
We have an extermitor come once per month in the summer. It's $60 per month, but at least we can sit on our deck with out being bothered (much).

I will definately try this. I was pratically forced to run for my life as the bees tried to form a hive near the front door.
The only question I had is, if bees don't come u don't get polination? or is it just less bees?
