Uh-oh. My 2 1/2 year old just refused a pull up for bed for the first time.

Ask:
She almost always wakes up with a wet pullup...but nothing I could do would convince her to wear one tonight. Do I put it on her after she is asleep or pray hard that she AND the bed wake up dry?!?!!?
Answer:

Personally i would put one on her after she falls asleep. There is nothing worse then having to get up at 3 a.m. to change a wet tushy and bedding.
Answer:

Part of me agrees to put it on after she is asleep, but then part of me says that is telling her you don't have confidence in her potty training. I'm not usually that way, but I know potty training is a very sensitive process. Luckily when dd made that announcement she had been staying dry most nights. I don't know what to tell you.
Answer:

I would for sure give her at least one night to try. My dd was always wet in the morning, until the first time I let her try without a diaper and she has never been wet since. I think she was making it through the night but then just going first thing in the morning, before she got out of bed.
Answer:

I vote that if you can, instead of putting one on her after she's asleep,,, you put a crib pad/towel or extra blanky under her instead,,, so that if she DOES have an accident, you can just have less of a mess/ordeal
Answer:

I caved, ladies. I am a bad mom. I put the pull up on her OVER her blanket sleeper! It might not hold as good, but it at least will hold!!! She takes naps dry, but she is almost always wet after a night's sleep. Dh is out of town, and I just have too much to do than to strip and remake a bed! Now, cross your fingers with me that this IS a sign of things to come...and she DOES wake up dry!
Answer:

not a 'bad mom' at all, but maybe she's getting there, we'll cross our fingers
Answer:

Well, how did it go?

Wyndser is 2 1/2 and is potty trained for daytime and naps, but I still put a diaper on her at bed. I'm mean because when she bawlks about it, and tells me she is a big girl and wants her big girl panties, I just tell her that when she wakes up dry in her diaper, then we will let her wear panties. Until then, she's in diapers. She's not happy, but at least I'm not changing a soaked baby and bedding.
Answer:

*has been wondering too*
Answer:

yes did she wake up dry??

Josh who just turned 3 is in a pullup still for nap and bed, I so want to try without but I hate cleaning it up. He has napped on the couch and in the car fine...hmm wonder what I should do? Or maybe we could meaning you and I can put a towel underthem to help absorb just in case.
