More Idol trivia. I guess I hadn't noticed that they weren't playing that "So you Had a Bad Day" song this year when contestants were voted off. So I just heard that they're actually playing one of the songs off Chris Daughtry's CD called "Home". I didn't know what it sounded like so I looked it up. You can watch a video here...it's cute. It's his local town's homecoming for him.
Or here's another version of him singing the same song. I guess he wrote this song before he did Idol.

The first night they played it I was like, I KNOW who that is",(you know one of those on the tip of your tongue moments?) and about 2 seconds later it struck me! I'm glad they're using an old contestants song...seems pretty appropriate!

So you have the CD??? I was wondering how it was. I wasn't one of the Chris groupies when he was on Idol, but both songs I've heard from the CD I really like. I guess the song "It's Not Over" is a huge hit, so I listened to it last night online and really liked it too. Hmmm....maybe I'll get off my cheap butt and go buy the CD. Or are there only a few songs that are good? I think sometimes those first post Idol records aren't that great because the Idol people are still controlling content etc. If there's only a couple of good songs, I'll just download from itunes. Thanks!!

I have the CD too....I loved Chris on Idol, but for me the CD was just okay...there were a few good songs but nothing that made me say "This was worth every penny!"

I liked Chris on Idol but, for me, after a while all his songs sounded the same. It's the same thing w/ the record for me. I like "it's not over" but all the other songs just sort of blend together for me. I do think he has a really good voice. I also agree that the first Idol CD is usually not 100% representative of the artist/ Idol keeps a lot of control. That's why I'm looking forward to Taylor's 2nd CD. Kelly Clarkston's 2nd CD was a lot better than the first, so I'm hoping for the same kind of thing. I hear that Elliott Yamin's CD is coming out later this month but I haven't heard any songs from it. He had a really good voice too.

I read somewhere that Chris wishes people would stop telling him that they are sorry he didn't win the American Idol title,he said NOT winning was the best thing to ever happen to him. It gives him more artistic freedom with record companies.
