Do you let your baby/toddler watch TV?!?!?

Ask:
I do...and I have taken heat from it...BUT, I don't let them watch that much...just the more educational Disney morning shows. My 19 month old could count to 12 in spanish last year...all from Dora! I video taped her for proof!
Answer:

My little one loves Playhouse Disney... usually it is JoJo's Circus or the Mickey Mouse club. It depends on when daddy leaves for work and big sissy gets up to get ready for school. But that is the only time she watches!! Unless she is having one of those cranky days and sometimes in the afternoon I will turn on Disney and just hold her in my lap...but that is very rare!!
Answer:

My kids watch Noggin a lot.
Answer:

My 5yo dd watches disney all morning so my 1 yo does too. She LOVES one certain Barney video though that daycare also has so its more familiar to her. I think some are pretty educational.
Answer:

Our tv is always on. They watch it sometimes, sometimes they don't
Answer:

Diva watches a bit of Noggin and just a little PBS - have no idea why, but she likes Elmo. Otherwise, I'm like, are you kidding? We do videos - she loves Bear in the Big Blue House, her latest obsession, Blues Clues, Dora and all the Baby Einsteins. I love them because she learns from them. She repeats the words, and then uses them when we're out in the real world. She learned "kick" from Einsteins and goes around trying to kick her balls - great for her balance.

I have Barney, too, and Teletubbies, but haven't pulled them out for obvious reasons.
Answer:

My dd loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny on Disney. When she's at daycare, they watch PBS. I think it is fine because they are educational. Once she's older, we will monitor it more closely.
Answer:

I am one of the often as they want. As long as it is educational. We always have the tv on too! Disney and Nick Jr are our favorite and I think that they learn a lot from it.
Answer:

DS loves Noggin. I love it because there are no commercials. He really likes it when they play childrens music videos. However, sometimes it might be on and he'll completely ignore it. We also have the HBO Classical Baby dvds and he is crazy about those as well.

That's my house! My 3yr old can tell you what a constelation is and where Mt Kilamanjaro is and all sorts of other things. I have to say that if it is educational, then I don't mind. Ds's favorite show is Little Einsteins and he is only 15mths old! As soon as hears the music he calms down. Thank goodness for the DVR!
