Since I was a little girl I've been frustrated with having to buy a new Barbie to get the outfit. We have SO many Barbies. I'm not guilty! I bought my daughter Cinderella, Elina, Nori, and Shella (mermaids). My mom bought the rest. We probably have 20-25 Barbies. Mom bought most of them at yard sales.
How many do you keep? Should I feel guilty about giving them away?
She doesn't play with them. I would like to keep her favorites and toss the rest.

Ha! Funny question since I just had to trade someone on here to get a few! My puppy likes them for chew toys! She hasn't gotten any in a few weeks now..but we did find Ken minus some fingers this morning. AAHHHH!!!!
That said, we have quite a few between my three girls that play with them. (The oldest quit years ago!) My 11 year old has the most, and eventually, I am sure she will pass them on down to the little girls. Actually, last week, I did make her clean out a few that had their heads on crooked (from being broken) or things like that. LOL

I think DD has about 5 but I'm not sure so I voted the 5-10 category. I'm lucky that she isn't too into Barbies - yet(?) The problem is there are so many OTHER dolls out there. If I had to count up all the Bratz, Polly Pockets, Princess, Kim Possible, etc dolls, I'm sure it would be an impressive number.
Go ahead and start a poll on stuffed animals. They are overwhelming me! The problem is each stuffed animal has a story and it is so difficult to get rid of even one. Add to that those Build-A-Bear stuffed animals! They are such a financial investment that getting rid of one feels like tossing a family member.

Back to the topic...we had 45 until I was trying to weed them out and found someone that needed some! Now we have 37! We would only have about 15 between my 3 girls but my sister had just given us almost 3 barbies that her step-SON..yes I said son was giving up! I am still trying to get rid of a few!

She keeps them in a rubbermaid box, but last night, she left the box lid off. I don't know what is in them for Zoey to like them, but whatever it is must be like a doggie drug!!! Got any Kens left at your house for trade?!?!!?

My dd has 11, so I voted in the 10-15 category. She technically has only one Barbie -- the rest are Barbie's friends. She also has a set of Wee Three Friends (Barbie's sister Stacy and two friends) that I included in the count.
She doesn't really play with them very much anymore, but she's not ready to get rid of them just yet. Fortunately, she doesn't have any big Barbie stuff, like a large Barbie doll house. It would drive me nuts to see something that large sit there, not being played with.

I think we have somewhere between 20-25 just guessing! These were all my now 14dd's when she was little, and I saved them and now my 4dd gets to play with them and the huge Barbie house which I also saved.

Ken's are pretty minimal in our house even though out of the 45 we have/had 8!
