I have some of both..mostly fake. I love how the plants bring my rooms together. I have three real ones...two look good still, one needs to be given last rites! I just don't have that green of a thumb.

No...I don't like they way they look at all. My inlaws have a fake pink dogwood tree in their living room and it is the ugliest thing ever. L.OL. If I have a plant, it's real. Everyone is different!

I have one fake orchid - which many people have had to look at closer to see if it was real or not. I don't have any real plants. The only exception is every spring I force paperwhites or tulips. I need just a little touch of spring inside before it arrives outside.

I have 2 real plants. I get those ones that live in water since it's kind of hard to kill them. I haven't refilled the water in the one in the bathroom in several months and it's still doing great.
DH wants to get a couple fake "trees" for the living room. We have some unusable space on both sides of the entertainment center and that's what he wants to do with it. Now I just need to get him to the store to look at them.

The only fake ones I have is some ivy stuff that is mixed in with things over my kitchen cabinets (I have those kind of cabinets that have an open space between them and the ceiling) and I have a 2-story entryway, and I have some on the area above my front door mixed in with some other stuff. I wouldn't use them in areas where people could get too close to them. We have quite a few live plants. Since all four of our parents died within the last few years, we got lots of planters, those peace lily things, and even two big treelike things that people sent us. Of course I'm slowly but surely killing the planters, so give me a few more years and I won't have any live ones

I dont have any!! my cat eats the real ones and gets sick!! and there gets too much dust on the fake ones!! (my cat also eats those!! and the fake dirt stuff in them!!)

I have both and I much prefer the real ones. We "inherited" the artificial ones when we bought this house. Right now they are adding interest to my outdoor front porch....Looks kinda weird with all the snow. lol!
