Did anyone go out and Peter Pan yet??

Ask:
My dd is litterally foaming at the mouth for this DVD. She is a huge Tinkerbelle fan, and has read every single book from the Disney Fairys collections. WE walked into Walmart today and I had to put blinders on them because I didn't have the money to purchase it this week. HOpefully next week!!
Answer:

No. We still have the collector's edition from the Last time it was out. Try your library if she really wants to see it. I'm sure they should have a number of copies.
Answer:

No not yet but I thought about it last nite when I went to pick up ds birthday cake. Even picked it up and almost put it in my cart! I know my kids would love it so I am thinking next week too.
Answer:

Not yet but thanks for the reminder! I think the Easter bunny might put it in dd's basket......
Answer:

Daughter wants it of course, but we already have it on DVD, single disc, so I'm not getting another copy.

GREAT suggestion, I think the Easter Bunny might grab a copy as well!
Answer:

We bought it so DD would have a video to watch while she's sick. It isn't bad - better than I remember - but still dated. When the opening credits came on DD asked, "Is this a new movie?"
Answer:

Hey, thanks!!! I didn't even know it was out!!! I may buy it because it is one of te few disney movies I like.
Answer:

My dd would LOVE it, but I'm not going to get it. I don't like the way that the girls are written and portrayed in the original (Tinkerbell is jealous and has body issues, the mermaids act like a high school clique, and Wendy is always sent off to do "woman's work"). 'Peter Pan II - Return to Neverland' is a much better movie, with Jane (Wendy's daughter) being a hero. We have that movie on DVD.
Answer:

We got it!
My kids absolutely LOVE Peter Pan! Our old VHS tape is warped from them watching it every other week...a reddish-pink line runs constantly at the top of the screen and drives me nuts! It's the only Disney movie that they'll watch on a regular basis. My dd was quite upset however that Return to Neverland wasn't in the set. I guess I'll have to scout for that DVD on Ebay.
