Ask:
The whole Powerball thing got me thinking this week.
I heard on the news that 70% of lottery winner actually have less money ten years after winning!
What would you do if you won a million? Or if someone else won and give you a million?
Answer:
The first thing I would do is to talk to a financial advisor to see if I could make the money work for me, so that I could live off the interest and investment portion for the rest of our lives.
What would I want to change.
I would like to have a small organic farm and an big old farm house far enough out and surrounded by enough land and woods that I could not see anyone. Funny, that little part isn't that far out of reach right now...hmmm I guess, I wouldn't want to change much, just not having to worry about the bills would be nice.
edited: I thought of something else I would like. I would like to be able to afford to set my house up to go totally off the grid with the use of solar and wind power.
Answer:
My DH & I were just talking about his last night, we'd of course take the lump sum and do some investing, and then we would buy some land and build our dream home with a large pole building for the tractors(& to keep dh out of my hair, lol) I'd probably buy myself a new car/suv, and the dog would get a new doghouse!!
BTW, our dream home is nothing big, just a Ranch Style house with 3 bedrooms, a 1st floor laundry room, and a nice outdoor deck. We're simple folks, lol!!
