Ask:
DH just watched this show and I was cracking up. The host goes around and rounds up members of old bands and tries to get them to reunite for one show. This particular show was Vixen (the all girls hair band from the 80's). It was just so cheesy and hilarious. Has anyone ever watched it?
Answer:
I find it interesting. It's amazing how some of them are in hair and makeup for 20 year olds when they're in their 50s. If they would just go with their age, and dress/makeup appropriately, most would look so much better. Of course, the drugs thing does take it's toll. I didn't see the Vixen one, but I like to watch it when I can.
Answer:
Are they doing new shows again? That would be the second piece of entertainment news to make my night! We loved that show when it was one before, but that was almost 2 years ago. I don't remember Vixen though.
Answer:
I've never seen the show, but it sounds like it would be fun to watch.
As a teen from the 80's, I thought I was relatively familiar with the bands that were around back then. I've never heard of Vixen. What song (or songs) did they sing?
Answer:
For cost purposes, I am sure, they go for the lesser knowned band. I have never heard of Vixen nor did I recognize anything they wrote. I did watch the episode with Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Squeeze, The Alarm and a few others with great joy!
So, sorry, can't help you, but you should check out the show. It is awesome! I looked it up and, unfortunately, they are not new episodes. I would love to see some new shows!
Answer:
They were showing this on VH1 for a time, so I've seen it. They tried to reunite NKOTB! Jordon and John were on board, but Danny and Donny wouldn't even appear on camera. Joey did, but said, that part of his life is over, and he wasn't intersted in doing it again.
Answer:
Vixen's biggest was "Edge of a Broken Heart". "I've been living on the edge of a broken heart...." They were like these sexy, motorcycle riding blondes in leather - like a Lita Ford. They weren't overly talented, but it worked in the 80s. I would be interested to see how they fared.
If you go to Amazon.com, type in Vixen, you will see their song list and even get to listen to a small part of each song. I just LOVE that feature!
