Need Ideas PLEASE...

Ask:
Hi there,

I'm in charge of my DD's kindergarten silent auction donation. Since they're too little to do woodworking and the parents don't seem all that interested , her teacher and I decided to donate a coffee and tea type basket and ask the class for donations to add to it. I like the idea and wanted to add a little something that they can make too. Any ideas?

I was thinking about buying a serving tray to add to the basket and I'm racking my brain about how the kids can get involved. So I thought what about little wooden squares and they each can draw a picture on and then I can glue (or laminate) them onto the serving tray. I really like this idea, however I haven't a clue what I need and I've been searching stores for days.

Please, I'd love to hear your ideas and thoughts about my serving tray idea or about anything else that would be cute to add!

Thanks so much!!!!

What about Getting Chocolate and white Chocolate and havinf them dip spoons!! and put them in cute plastic bags
Answer:

Great thinking! That would be easy enough to do with them! Keep em coming!!!
Answer:

I was going to suggest the spoons too
What about a batch of cookies that they decorated?
Tea Towels that they somehow decorated?
Is there a cocco drink mix they could assemble (cocco, ch chips, marshmellows) into a container they decorated?
Answer:

How about coasters instead of laminating the pictures to the serving tray...just a thought.
Answer:

to add to the tea towel idea.........I've had my nieces take flour sack towels and decorate them with their hand prints for grandparents. Just a thought
Answer:

Where would I get flour sacks? I haven't heard of them...
Answer:

Or an inexpensive apron that they could decorate w/ handprints, names or a small drawing??

Good luck- I hope your basket brings in loads of money!
Answer:

Instead of doing wooden tiles on the tray, why don't you decoupage some artwork on a wooden tray with mod podge? Or if there is a group photo of the class you could have a mug made with the photo on it. I really like the spoon idea, though. That is cute and everyone could participate and they would have lots of fun making those.
