Ask:
Some people save money and gas by just going to one grocery store to get what they need for the week. They may pay a bit more for a few items but they're not tempted by all the things they don't even see in the other grocery stores and they save on fuel getting to all the other stores.
Other people scan their flyers and make a plan. They will drive to 2, 3, 4 and sometimes more places to get all the best deals. They love the hunt. It doesn't matter that it takes a little extra time and a bit more gas, it's that bottom line price that counts.
What kind of person are you?
Have you always been that way or have you changed over time?
Answer:
i go to one store it is the only store that doubles coupons and has some really great deals every week. i could go to the second store it is only across the street but they do not do double coupons and they keep raising their prices. i have changed alot i use more coupons alot really.
Answer:
I'm the second person.
I will visit several stores as long as they have what I want at a great price. about once or twice a month, I will visit about 4 dirrent stores, depending on the sale. Walmart, Stop and Shop, Shoprite, and Starwoods. I don't ususally do it on the same day, but through out the month I do it. Whoever has the best sale gets my business for the week, and then I get my usuals at WAlmart.
Answer:
Well, we only have a Walmart, Publix and Winn Dixie in our town so that makes it easy. I don't go to Winn Dixie because I don't like it and it is about 10 miles away.
So, I will usually go to Publix at least once sometimes more for produce and Walmart when I have to. I pricematch at Walmart though.
If I am down in Fort Walton Beach for other errands, I will go to Sam's and stock up, but I can do that once every couple of weeks or more.
Answer:
We only have Wal-Mart and HEB nearby and Sam's is about 25 miles away. Wal-Mart is the nearest and usually the cheapest, I do stop at HEB for produce and I go to Sam's once a month for toliet paper and cereal.
Answer:
I sit down everyweek with our store flyers and make a list of things we use and the sale price and mark if I have coupons for them or not. We have two major competitor grocery stores right across the street from each other so, if I can, I usually do both in the evening. They both double coupons and sometimes double up to a $1.
Answer:
I usually go to Wal-Mart and Kroger every week. I'll also make stops at Publix, Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid if they have something on sale. All the stores are in relatively close proximity to each other, so I'm not wasting any gas.
Answer:
I had to stop going to more than one. I was spending tooooo much money. Now I alternate between two groceries and Trader Joes. It is a bit more at the grocery, but for me it works. I've been staying out of Target and Walmart.
Answer:
I used to be the go-getter. I shopped weekly as Sam's, Walmart, and a local grocer. Now I am a one store kind of gal.
Answer:
I used to visit 3 stores a week, but it was never a waste with gas because they are all on the same street within a mile of my home. We go to Costco once a month and while I decided time wise 3 stores a week was a bit much I have been starting to visit Trader Joes, more out of the way so not very often.
