I can't grow anything in dirt (luckily my daughters aren't plants) but I've always wanted an herb garden so I asked Santa for a Chia herb garden and he delivered.
Well, I finally got around to planting last week and now I have a little sprout in my dill!

ch-ch-ch-chia! We'd gotten one for ds, and it was great at first, then started growing moldy. Out it went! I'm lucky I raise humans and pets - I kill everything else.

Too much water. It depends on your own sensitivities, but I, personally, would discard it.
