Baby Peed on couch

Ask:
Help! My 3 week old peed on the couch when I was trying to take her picture. Its on two cushions and I dont know how to clean it off and get the smell out. Its a sued material, does anyone know how I can clean it? I wiped it down with wet wash clothes but thats all I have done so far.

Answer:

Is it not scotch gaurded? I think wiping it down is about all you can do... oh.. and this probably won't be the only time your couch gets peed on unless you never change her on it again...
Answer:

My friend told me about Nature's Miracle. You can buy at Petco type place. It is made for pet urine but in my eyes urine is urine. When my older one was starting potty training we had accidents and this stuff is great. Got the smell right out of cushions. I am not sure what would happen with suede but you could try in a hidden spot. They also make a black light if you want to find all the spots (I didn't go that far).

I use the same cleaning stuff I use on the carpet - resolve or whatnot.... but there's not much you can do - bound to happen!
Answer:

Make sure that you test whatever you are going to use before putting it on the cushion. Try the back of the couch, or the underside of the cushion. This way is it changes the color of the material you can know before you put it on a big area.
Answer:

Urine Gone has been a cushion and mattress saver in our house. You can buy a bottle without the black light (really not needed) for $9.99 and it is worth every penny. My younger son had a difficult time potty training and had accidents on our sofa, on the carpet and on his mattress and this stuff saved the day and saved us from buying a new mattress. I figure spending $10 saved us from having to buy a mattress that would have set us back a minimum of $150, so it was worth it.
