Yep, it's gooey and bloody. I don't remember losing mine with my first son (I can only assume that I lost it during labor). With my second son I lost it the day my labor started. You can lose it weeks before you actually have your baby though.

Mine was not bloody. Its looks like SNOT (TMI sorry!) and it will come out in a huge clump. If it has blood in it, I think that means you are close to labor. With Cameron, I was losing my plug for about 2 weeks. With Samantha it came out the same mornng I went into labor.

It's gross, but it can be lost all at once or a little at a time. You can actually lose it weeks before delivery or hours before - unfortunately it's just another sign, but not THE sign.

It's gross, a big goob of goo with some red blood stricks thru it. I lost it with my first baby within 24 hours of delivering her and with my second baby I lost it about a week and a half before he arrived. Both times I discovered it while using the restroom.

Described as above by the others...except mine didn't come all at once...it was over a day or so. With my first I don't remember losing it, the second it was the day of, the third it was a couple days before, and my last it was like 2 weeks before.

It looks like somebody hocked a big lougie in your underwear, it's gross and you will KNOW when you lost it. I had ds hours later, but i was already in the hospital being induced.

Yeah pretty much like that! I had ds #1 about 2 days after, and I never had it with #2 becuase my midwife stripped my membrains, so it can out when she did that.
