Headache

Ask:
Hi Friends,

I have had a headache almost everyday this week, the kind that you throw up when you move headache so I have not been on the computer as reading hurts. Today I am just as sick again. Of course not much help at home so Hunter and I just get by and beg him to watch movies so I can shut my eyes.

I worry so much because of my head injury and when I was working on setting up new programs I could not copy over information, then I forgot a few things and now the headaches. I am sure I just worry too much about it and if I would stop maybe the headache would go away.

I don't mean to be neglectful of my friends here on the SN but I really can't stand to read without feeling sick again.

See you next week, April
Answer:

Don't worry about us! Get thee to a doctor! Painkillers!
Answer:

You need to go to the doctor!! Don't mean to sound like your mom, but with your history, there could be a problem. Better safe than sorry!! The other thing is, my high blood pressure was found because I was complaining of headaches. I woke up every morning with the back of my head killing me. Sure enough...when I started on blood pressure meds the headaches stopped. Now they were never as bad as what you're describing, so I'm not saying that's what you have. Being a previous neuro nurse, I can think of lots of things that could cause headaches...none of which you want to ignore. So go to the doctor!! I'm going to nag you until you do!!
Answer:

I hope you are feeling better soon!! I am missing you!
Answer:

I hope you feel better soon. They have fabulous meds to stop a headache. I get real bad migraines and sometimes they only stop at the hospital. Praying for you.
Answer:

It is finally mostly gone. We woke up and I had a race this morning so I had to kick it. I took Maxolt for migraines then two tylenols and drank beers with the DH in the morning.

We had a long drive and I finally had a chance to explain all that is stressing me out so bad. I cried a few tears and right then I felt some of the ache go away. The meds started to work and the ache was pushed further back in my head. By the time we got to Targhee I felt better than I had all week. It still hurt a bit but not the sick feeling of the entire week. We drink very dark heavy beer and I think just having a beer also helped me relax. Then DH and I raced around on the hard pack and I could almost catch him on his skis so that also put me in a good mood.

I raced and did well but we had to leave before I could find out where I placed. I took another Maxolt and more tylenol on the way home, had a nice dinner and a hot shower.

Thank you for being so concerned for me. I am sure it is the stress of the new school, trying to make the right decisions for Hunter, which school to pick, taking on the canal company, marriage, life, etc. Just everything we all deal with each day. I think it just all build up and I didn't release so the headache came.

I think it I will better tomorrow and have certainly learned to let out the stress!

Thank you for all being such good friends and caring so much! I seriously thought of a MRI but I really think stress, even the stress of thinking that it might be something.

Blessings, April
