When are you most tempted to spend? Have you found anything that helps keep the spending down during those really tempting times?

Probably Christmas. I keep my spending down by shoping all year and picking up things when I see them really cheap on clearance.

I have to spread shopping for Christmas throughout the year because the girls's birthdays are in Nov and Dec as well.

My worst is probably the end of season clothing sales, January and August. I go WAY overboard buying for the next year. I just can't pass up a deal. The next worst would be Christmas.

When I havent been shopping for a while and then I get some unexpected cash--dh's bonus, tax return, etc. thats when i have a good time

When I'm fooling myself that I have extra money, that's when I want to spend. There's never really any extra money!
