Ask:
What do you like best about being a mom to those scary teenagers?
Answer:
This one of mine is not so scary at all! She is a great, well rounded, goal driven kid! She is big enough now to have some really good conversations with. She also is fun to just hang out with. She helps me out with the little kids all the time.
Answer:
lol.. i was considering posting that 'the teens only last a few years' was my favorite thing
actually, it really is cool to get a glimpse of the 'adult' they'll be,, but those are SO few and far between
I think the last month of pregnancy is God's way of helping you be ready to 'seperate' from your baby,, 'let them go' so to speak
and the last few teen years are His way of again. letting you get ready to seperate
When you look at a lil' child, you can't IMAGINE not having them with you,, that gets 'easier' to imagine when you go thru the teenage angst hehehe
Answer:

Answer:
Since I was so old when I had my children most of my friends had kids much older than mine. I remember thinking that kids that age couldn't be fun, but them saying they were. And now I do understand that. Yes, teens can be emotionally explosive, petulant, and irrational. But they also can carry on intelligent conversations with me, discuss music or current events, have a developed sense of humor, and I don't have to wipe their butts My children can probably discuss current events or politics with more knowledge than most adults. I'm not sure I'd say the teenage years are my favorite, but I'm enjoying my two teens never the less.
Answer:
If I had to base my favorite thing on my oldest teen (17), I would say my favorite thing is that we are just inches from being able to kick him out of the nest. This kid has been our nightmare from he!! with no light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, and do not laugh, but this kid is actually the perfect poster child for birth control.
But my other teen is just the opposite from his brother. Very helpful and full of insight. One of my favorite things about him is to be able to actually sit down and have an intelligent conversation with him. It is through our conversations that I am able to get a grasp on what kind of an adult he will be. He is also my constant reminder that my parenting skills, while not perfect, aren't so bad either. And after dealing with oldest ds and how awful he is, I need that reminder from time to time, if only just to keep things in perspective.

My DD is 13 and it is so nice to be able to talk to her, and when we go places she is such a help with the younger kids. She is just a joy to be around. I swear, sometimes she helps me keep my sanity! So far we have had no problems with her, not even an "attitude" yet. I feel fortunate
