How many times a week do you mop the floor? Vacuum? Dust? Since I started flylady I've been doing these things about once a week (vacuuming 3x). Just wanted to know what everyone else does.

I vacuume everyday, but I only have a large area rug surronded by hardwood, which I sweep 2-3 times a week. Upstairs I vacuume once a week.
I spot mop the kitchen just about everyday (I have young kids) but I do a big mop once a week along with the living room, dining room and my bedroom.
Dust, okay I admit it when it really needs it usually every 10 days or so!

I vacuum twice a week. I run the sweeper (my trusty Shark) around if I see stuff, like cat fur or big crumbs. I use the Shark in my kitchen several times every day. I sweep with a broom when I mop, which isn't often, maybe once every couple of weeks. I use Swiffer pads about once a week.
I don't dust. I hate it. When it gets bad, I have the girls help me. Kids sure love those swiffer dusters! Then I'll do a more thorough dusting.

I vacuum every other night, sweep every day, mop every Sunday morning (my most dreaded chore) but will spot clean when needed. Wipe down the main bathroom daily, scrub tub once a week, vacuum bedrooms once a week, dust a few times a week also... I do a general tidy every night before bed too.
My place is always clean now and it's easy to keep up..

I can't believe how organized you guys are!! I pretty much do everything when it looks like it is needed! If the carpet looks dirty , I vacuum it. If the kitchen or dining room floor look dirty I mop or swifter them. If the bathroom is dirty I clean it. If the laundry basket is full, I do laundry.

I'm like HappyMom - when it looks like it needs it, I clean it. In addition, I do a big cleaning effort (1) right before company comes over and (2) right before hubby comes home from his biz trip.

of course, life rarely goes as planned, so it often gets done as needed. I love inviting people over, because then I do a big clean!
