Answer:

Do you freeze without cooking? And how do you cook them? Stove top, oven or slow cooker? My dh loves salisbury steak but I hate the store bought kind and most recipes call for mushrooms which I won't eat.
Answer:

I do typically freeze without cooking(just thaw in fridge and pan fry later)but you CAN cook them first and I think they're even better if you cook them on the grill and then simmer them in the canned brown gravy or you can make your own gravy.(It's 1:37 in the a.m.right now and I got up cause I couldn't sleep-so I'll dig through my files tomorrow to get the homemade gravy recipes I use for these)

Also...you can leave the mushrooms out of any salisbury steak recipe-typically they're tossed in with the gravy and not the steak mix.(I don't care for shrooms either-husband loves them...:hurl: )

Thanks for the info. The weather is getting warmer here so I should be able to get the grill cleaned and start using it soon. I can't wait.

I made this last night for my family. I used the first recipe you posted and we were amazed by the flavor. It was super easy to make! Thanks so much for posting the recipes!

I'm trying to make more food and freeze it ahead of time for quick weeknight dinners. I'm still working fulltime (hoping to be SAHM after our second baby is born in July), and have a 2 year old son, so my time is very limited.
