Ask:
what do you do that is not simple in the name of "frugal"?
In the name of "simple" I....
do not air dry my clothes. I use to do it to be frugal and it is just not simple for me. too much time and effort. Into the dryer it goes!
got rid of things like bean bags, small children's chairs that grandparents seem to think they need, Heirlooms that don't actually mean something to me. ( I found 2 heirloom gravy boats from my grandmother in my keepsake box. I only know this because on a note in there.I have not memory of her using them. I gave them to another family memeber that might treasure them more than I do.)
use paper towels, kleenex,..stuff like that.
call a plumber instead of trying to fix things myself or waiting for DH to do it.
not planting flowers outside this year.
I do these things in the name of trying to be more frugal, even if it does not seem to be simple.
Not using swiffer type products
using bath water to water plants during drought ...one bucket at a time.
running errands all on one day. I hate this. I would much rather do a couple short trips during the week.

This year I'm donating all our unused stuff to the Salvation Army/Friends/Etc. instead of having a garage sale. Much easier!

I agree, every thng goes into the dryer, too much hassle to hang stuff!!! I am a big believer in paper plates, I love them!
Answer:
I am trying not to shop more than once a month. If we need milk or fresh veggies and fruit, I have DH pick it up on his way home from work.
I use papertowels.
I scrapbook on the computer -- saves time AND money!
I let Del Montee can my tomatoes . . . .

I always put unwanted clothes in a garbage bag or box with SIGN THAT READS FREE CLOTHES, I sit the clothes out on my lawn or side-walk... I would like to think that not only a I doing something easy for me, but I am helping out a person(s) within my neighborhood...

Answer:
In the name of simple (and sanity) I give up cooking 7 nights a week. I give myself Friday night out of the kitchen. It's pizza night around here.
Answer:
I too use my dryer but allow it to heat my basement with the help of diverter.
I use paper towels and if anyone is sick we use tissues to avoid germ spreading
Goofiest one is hang over side of my bed and spray underside of hair for more volume- I'm deadly with blowdryers and curling irons
