Answer:

our has a board in the front that tells what the days specials are like all orange tags and linenes were 50% off yesterday at the one i went to... i don't know the sales days at ours. but you can ask the workers they may have a sheet that tells you or they maybe just tell you. i think they are different per goodwill though i'm not positive...a reminder goodwill is hit or miss i either do really well or i find nothing ya just have to look.
Answer:

I'd just ask the sales person.

It really is hit or miss. Sometimes I find great things, other times I know I can do better at a yard sale or even Target. For instance, at Target clearances I can get some items for DD (like a shirt, pants or pjs) for $1.98. Since goodwill has set prices, those same items are going for $3.49. Not such a good deal. OTH, I just found 2 really nice, new looking Gymboree outfits for that same price ($3.49 each).

So, it all depends - you just have to look for what you want. You can always ask a salesclerk. When I've been on the hunt for something particular, sometimes they will remember seeing something and help me look.

Happy hunting!
Answer:

Don't go in looking for something particular, more than likely you'll just be disappointed. Go and be surprised and excited when you find a great deal. Children's books are cheap at Goodwill. I used to go on quarter day, gets to be too crowded now. I have containers full of clothes my oldest will grow into in the next couple years. She won't need any new summer clothes expect for shoes and underwear.
Answer:

I do much better when I dont have anything in mind. I just walk around and look at everything. I search the kids clothes up and down and grab anything I like. Clothes for myself is the hardest to find, but I save so much on everybody else that I can afford to buy better things for me. Dh stains or rips everything he owens the first time he wears them so he told me not to buy him anything new becuase its just a waist. The girsl are little and kids clothes are a dime a dozen used.. Actually dd is so funny , every time I find her a dress she gets excited and wears to school and tells everybody to look at her new dress!
Answer:

I just realised we dont have a goodwill close we do have savers!! anyone know anything about Savers?
Answer:

We have a few savers her in Vegas. I think there are like 4 of them here. (Vegas is huge, as most of you know....) I have found some awesome things at Savers. I know holiday weekends they usually do half price stuff at Savers though. It is awesome. I personally love Deseret Industries better though. They have ALL KINDS of things at AWESOME prices. I got an entire set of big blocks in a bag that go to my daughter's set for two bucks last weekend!!!! It was a lot of them, too. I get most of my clothes there. I can't imagine paying full price for clothes now. I am hooked on thrift store shopping. I went last night to Deseret Industries and found myself a few pairs of shorts and pants for walking, since it is warming up. They were really cheap. I am talking $1-3 each.
