How do you make extra money?

Ask:
What does everyone do to make extra money? I have tried wah things and they've never panned out, sweepstakes, etc. Just wondering. We make it on our income each month but w/ little $ leftover for home repair, emergencies, dining out, and other things that come up.
Answer:

I collect points that I can turn into gift certificates from shoppershotline and mypoints. This comes in handy at Christmas time.
In the past I have donated plasma for cash.
Declutter clothes, household items, books and consign somewhere. I take mine to Stuff.
Half Price Books buys books, movies, and cd's.
Turning in pop cans throughout the year ends up being my garage sale money.
I have never hand luck on Ebay but others have.
If you are a good cook sell meals to neighbors.
Offer to run errands or clean for elderly neighbors.
Answer:

I posted my new solution. I am working on call at the local nursing home. I get to choose how much I work and when I work.
Answer:

I wouldn't actually say my income is "extra", more that it's a necessity to pay all bills, with a little left over to save. I watch other kids at my home. This is the first year I've done it at home (I've worked in schools and at childcare centers and brought my first dd) and I'm waiting to see how our taxes come out. It's not bad money, and I'm home with my girls anyway....
Answer:

I work as a teleservices operator from home. .

I'm working right now.
Answer:

fairly standard here.

Sell
eBay - but admit I've taken the last year off
Craigslist a few times a year
Yard sales

I also do mypoints - but just started last month - have enough for $10 a target already

Do panel research/ focus groups a few times a year - usually an extra $75 or so from doing that

In the psat I did a newspaper route in the monrings, was like $600 a month, hours suck because it is very early morning but you get used to it after a while.

My aunt cleans office buildings at night. Does just one or two a week, makes extra $ doing that.

In home child care, pet sitting/ walking, misc yard work for others are also other things I've done a few times in my past.

Do you have a craigslist.org around your area? Have you looked in the part time/ etc jobs area? Always interesting opportunites seem to be there.
Answer:

I do my extra income work through my regular job. Since I'm a teacher, I just do extra duties for extra money. I'm the site coordinator for our after-school tutoring program and I work Saturday School for detention students. That gives me an extra 10 hours a week. Plus I teach summer school which is equivilent to one full extra monthly paycheck. It really adds up for us.
Answer:

I teach for a local college on a very part time basis and also am in Direct Sales.

I know that Direct Sales are very scarey for a lot of people (I used to be one of them), but I have learned that if you pursue them the right way you will be more successful. Also, getting into one that is a consumable product is helpful as well.
Answer:

How long have you been doing this? I've looked into it before and was just looking into the link again. How many hours a week do you work? Are you busy most of the time that you are "working" or is there alot of time where the phone isn't ringing? And do you get paid for the time you aren't on the phone?
Answer:

I'm also in direct sales. I never would have thought about it until the girl doing my show told me how much money I would have made doing what she did! I started a year ago and WOW it has been amazing. They money potential and the freinds you meet along the way!
