Poll: What kind of school do your kids attend?

Ask:
What kind of school do your kids attend. My boys just got into the academic emphasis charter school here for next year and I am so pleased.
Answer:

My boys go to our local public school. I'm glad you found a school you are happy with.
Answer:

Congratulations, I am sure they will do well and enjoy it!!

My children attend a private Christian school.
Answer:

Actually, I should have made the poll able to take more than one choice!!! My 13yr old will be in the regular public high school next year, my boys that will be in 4th and 2nd grade will go to the charter school and my 3rd grader will stay at the regular public school. He is not good with change and already changed when we moved, so he wants to stay put. We also have an excellent regular public school. I am very happy with the placement for all my children!
Answer:

So far with Ashlynn we had her in Parochial (church) school for 4K, then public school. The other 2 will be going to the public school for 4 K since we are moving in April and the town we are moving too is starting a public 4K program in the fall. I grew up going to a Lutheran school thru 5th grade and then to public.
Answer:

My DD Ariana is in kindergarten @ a public school that also had a 3 & 4 yr old preschool which was very good. DS is only 23 months & he's in a in home day care but will be attending public school
Answer:

That great news HappyMom. I hear good things about those schools.

We are in a public school but we chose a good school school an then told our real estate agent, "We want a house in this price range for this school". It took a while but it was worth the wait.
Answer:

I only have 1 child in school at the moment, but he attends a Catholic school near our home. I'm not overly religious, but I am spiritual. The Catholic school here can provide a better education than the public schools, which is why I chose it. The moral system they teach can't hurt either. Catholicism is full of a lot of rules, and we stress certain beliefs more than others at home.

We did that, too. Our son was 18 months old at the time and our only, but we knew we would be here awhile (he is in first grade now and I will have a kindergartener next year, too) so we picked the school and THEN looked at houses in that district.

So, my kids go to public schools. We have no private schools in town. They are all 30+ miles away and not that great compared to the public school. That is a definite advantage of living in an Air Force town. They seem to have great school districts thanks to the extra money. Our county is always ranked near the top if not at the top for the state of Florida.
Answer:

Right now I wish I had the money to send my daughter to a private school. Her school was just recently taken over by the state because their test scores dropped quite a bit between 2005 and 2006
