Ok, it wasn't new, but it was lying out for the garbage! I told dh to pull over - he said it was really dirty but I persisted. We asked the people if we could have it (tomorrow is garbage day) and they are like, "Take it!!"
We got it home and it took me 2 hours to clean/sanitize it! Yuck it was bad, but it washed up just fine! We put it in a little wooded area in our backyard and ds is soooo excited!!!
I've always wanted one of these for him but just couldn't shell out the $. Any any places we've seen them (garage sales) they are always gone so fast, or they are too heavy for me to cart away.
I'm going to make a sign with my son's name and hang it outside his "house" and going to find a vine wreath to put in there too. He loves nature.

Thats great good for you. Don't you just love little tikes they clean up so well and they really stand up to the elements. We have a little tikes house we bought when ds was about 3 he is going to be 9 and it is still in great condition.

That is GREAT!!! I'll take a little scrubbing on a good deal over shelling out big bucks anyday We have a playhouse that is almost 4 years old and still looks brand new (my parents bought) and a little tykes slide that is about 9 years old (a friend was getting rid of), faded, but still in great shape! Gotta love little tykes!

Heck ya!!! I know that I spend that much time each spring cleaning up the ones we already OWN!! I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat. We own one that I bought for $25 from a neighbor...9 years ago. The only thing we have ever had a problem with was the door breaking off. We simply cut a wooden dowel long enough to fit up inside it, and then forced it into the holes in the door frame. Worked like a charm! My kids absolutely love their playhouse..and use it all year long.

Those are great!! my parents bought oldest dd hers when she was 2!! (she will be 7 next week) they still play in theres!! I do need to clean it up but its in great shape and it has never been inside!! Great deal!!! your ds will have many hours of fun in there!!!

That's awesome! I am hoping to find one at a yard sale this year because the $$ is just too much for us right now. My parents have one for the grandkids that is probably 10 years old and still be used every day. I LOVE little tikes
