Answer:
It sounds good to me! I had 3 baby towels and more wash clothes but that was so I didn't have to worry about getting them washed right away.
What about diaper cream?
Good luck to you!
Answer:
I would probably get a few more towels. Don't forget about diaper cream. Do you have a swing? Get a swing, and maybe one of those vibrating bouncy seats-my kids loved those. I would also get the Mylicon gas drops & infant Q-Tips. Other than that I can't think of anything else.
Answer:
I think you have plenty, too much of some things even! I wouldn't buy more towels, you can use regular ones you already have, you don't have to have "baby towels." We never really used any of that stuff most consider "must haves"
Like the mylicon gas drops I've had three kids and never bought those, I guess it depends on your child! and I didn't even know they made infant q-tips!
do you have a boppy? If you plan to breastfeed it's a must have that you will actually use!
Answer:
you have the basics but how about these things, crib sheets bassinet sheets burp pads changing pads the ones that make it so if you have spit up or accidents it wont soak thru to whatever is underneath(sp). If you are breast feeding you might want a breast pump and storage bags.other than that you sound pretty set.
Answer:
It IS up to each mommy, cause we all handle things differently. I nursed all of mine, but I never had the boppy. I don't think I saw one until after I was done with nursing the last!! I did use mylicon with two of ours...but not with the other four! I've had six babies...and even though they all had the same mom, ME (!), they all came into the world with different wants/needs. One couldn't have survived without that baby swing. Another couldn't have cared less for it!! A few were SEVERE spitters...and I went through a dozen or more cloth diapers a day..but the others never touched them (and of course, I had stacked them up because of the ones who needed them!). I used Mylicon by the gallons it seemed with our second child, but the others never had a need for it.
I think you do have enough to get you through the first several days/week...and then you will be ble to "know" the new baby enough to see what else you might have to bring home!!!
Answer:
Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your input!
I will be breastfeeding, never had spit-up/gas problems with my last 2 girls who were both breastfed, just with my son who was formula fed.. so i'll wait on the gas stuff till/if I need it...
Was thinking of picking up a nursing pillow this weekend, hoping to find one at a consignment shop as they're $50 new here.. Not looking forward to buying that..
I will get a swing and a bouncy seat eventually, but never used those for the first couple months anyways.. so those are on my 'to buy' list still..
I'll add diaper cream to my list for this weekend! Can't believe I forgot that.. lol!
Thanks again, ladies!
Answer:
i didn't see pacifiers, monitor, or nail clippers listed. oh and if you haven't gotten a diaper bag yet, they give you the little one at the hospital. i used that bag for the longest time, while the diaperbag bought for me sat in the closet. I liked it's small size.
Answer:
Thanks.. I forgot.. we have 2 pkgs of newborn pacifiers (6 in total) and I have the clippers, monitor, and thermometer from my others.. forgot about that stuff! lol!
Thanks!
