Ask:
So, Penny's was having a sale yesterday, and I promised my dd some new clothes (payment for babysitting and helping out with the baby). We get there, go to the girls section (where we always go)....and she is just moping around because she doesn't like any of the styles.
So I say, come on let's go check something out....and walked her over to the juniors section. You should have seen the look on her face, it lit up!!
She is a conservative dresser, so she picked out the long style shirts that are "in" now, not the skimpy stuff (thank goodness), plus they have a certain dress code at school anyway. And she picked out a couple pairs of capris. She was so excited!! But now I am a little sad....that is one mile stone I wasn't ready for!!
But it is all GOOD!
Answer:
Uh oh. Sounds you're both growing up. It's scary, isn't it? My guy is having his seventh birthday next week and it's making me feel old. Especially since I was just looking at some video of him just a year ago. He has matured so much is one year!
I think that's one reason I put off clothes shopping for him. I just don't want him to grow up so fast!
I wonder if you will be more blase about it when the next one's turn is up.
