My daughter lost 6 lbs the last month of her pregnancy. I think her loss was due to stress at work though. Our bodies are strange and amazing things during pregnancy - weight loss at the end to prpare for labor is not unfathomable.

I lost a few lbs at the end of each of my pregnancies with the boys. And, I , too, was a big weight gainer - 48-52 lbs every time. I think sometimes the body uses that stored energy to prep for the big day. You must be getting excited! We can't wait to hear about the big arrival!
Answer:
With my last 2 girls I gained 16-17lbs and kept losing weight near the end.. I ended up being induced because I wasn't measuring any bigger either... so as long as you're measuring fine, it's all good. With my last I was losing amniotic fluid, so kept measuring smaller..
This time I haven't gained much, 13lbs, but haven't lost any weight at all! So in short, unless your dr. gives you something to worry about, I wouldn't.
