Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Ask:
I call my husband the Jack Johnson of Home Improvement. Jack Johnson, is a singer-songwriter who is known for his Earth-friendly attitudes (he wrote the song, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle from the Curious George movie). M. reuses everything & as a result, we rarely spend a lot of $$$ when we do home improvements.

For Easter, M. built my son a dollhouse. Well...it's actually a house for his Calico Critters (they're little flocked animal families)--remember, I started the thread about gender bias, so we're not the parents who'll deny our son his affection for so-called "girl" toys. Ha, ha.

Anyway, remember the construction-themed birthday party (the one with the construction site lunch cart my husband built?)...well, he built the dolhouse out of that lunch cart! I painted all of the trim (doors & windows) and the house itself.

Answer:

That is awesome! Thank you for sharing. My girls would love that!
Answer:

Thanks! I think it is sooooo cool & my little guy loves it. He makes the little animals walk up the steps & he pushes them around on their bicycles & cars in the "backyard."

Too cute!

I need to sign up for snapfish and check those out!!
Answer:

I know! I'm sorry about the Snapfish registration--I checked out Photobucket.com, but the pictures of all the creepy, pierced & overly tattooed people on the main page sort of freaked me out. I don't want to see some 20 year old's pictures of him making out with his rock n roll girlfriend every time I log on to retrieve my photos!!! HA!
