So it has good advice for Northern climates? that has always been my problem and I'm not that Northern for MN. I did do the MN horticulture b since I thought they would have bettr ideas specifically for MN. Too advanced for beginners I thought. can't wait to hear others I kind of gave up on them.

Backyard Living is great! I received House and Garden for awhile, but I still like Backyard Living better I also like the small garden magazines that Home Depot & Lowes send out.

There is a magazine called "Northern Gardener" but it's pretty pricey - I think it's about $35/year.

Mother Earth News -- it is one of the few magazines that I read from front to back cover. And they have a lot of tips on organic gardening.

The former editor of Northern Gardener (Lynn Steiner) is going to be speaking in Waseca on Thursday. She also has a website and a book called Landscaping with Native Plants of Minnesota.
