Introducation new member

Ask:
Hello everyone,

I am fairlynew to here. I actually have been reading posting for about two and half months, but have never posted anything. I logged onto the new boards and it said I have never made an introduction. I could not find an introduction forum referred to when I logged. I am a first time mom to be, due in October so I thought this would be the most fitting place to do an introduction.

Hello.. my name is Carolyn, username simplelife. I live in St. Louis Missouri, recently married, last year, and we are expecting our first child in October....a little girl.

I am making some huge life transitions right now. I was just getting used to the marriage transition when we were given a surprise in January...the baby. We were told we would be unable to have children so we planned our lifestyle accordingly.

I am going from working full-time, to staying home, going to graduate school, out going out for entertainment, and learning to pinch every penny I can. All of these changes at once, have been somewhat overwhelming for me. We got a fairly late start, meaning we are both in our thirties. I am used to working full-time outside of the home, and all of my friends are pasted the early child raising years.

I am very slowly learning to pinch pennies, being home alone, the idea of becoming a mother, and cooking, yes, I am still working on planning meals...LOL

I love here! I get one at least once or twice a day. Everyone is very supportive, offers advice, encouragement, tips. I came across here by accident back in May. I am so glad to be part of such a strong network of moms.

Love, Simplelife, St. Louis.

I totally understand the feeling of being a little overwhelmed. I went from being single in my own place, to being married, having our first son at 38 and now having our second at 39, I became a stay at home mom wondering how to make the ends meet!!! Thanks goodness for these boards there are soooo many helpful ideas and tips..........you all are wonderful for sharing your ideas, it makes my transition at lot easier.

Hi! I am new as of today to here....seems pretty great for moms. I look forward to checking everything out when I have time. I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself.

I live in South Mississippi, I am 33 years old and have a 14 month old son. I have also became a SAHM since becoming a mother and I love it. I tried to go back to work a month ago...made it 3 weeks and had to quit. It was tearing me apart dropping him off at daycare and then only having about an hour and a half before he went to bed. At that rate, I would miss his growing up entirely, so I opted for staying at home and 1 income! YIKES!

Anyway, I do have twin step-daughters who turned 12 yesterday. They live with their mom, but are with us every other weekend. They are (sometimes) a big help.

Anyway, just thought I would say "hello", I couldn't find the INTRODUCTIONS FORUM (call me ditzy) so I just decided to post to this one. Not sure how all of this works yet!

I look forward to hearing from some of you and reading the other forums.

Sincerely,
Conner's Mom
