Ask:
The worst?
The best?
My worst was that I had NO idea what colic was until I had a baby boy born with it. I had NO idea I could loose that much sleep and still function!!
The best....besides the obvious of never having an idea on just how much love that tiny baby could bring....was just how much I enjoyed the middle of the night feedings, including those colicky times.
Answer:
The worst was not realizing people were speaking the truth about how much sleep you lose.
The best holding them against my chest for hrs at a time, nothing can beat that.
Answer:
My biggest suprise?
That I actually could do more than I ever thought I was capable on as little sleep as I got.
Answer:
The biggest surprise for me was how much a little baby can totally disrupt your daily schedule!! No more eating hot meals, taking morning showers, taking you all day to read the newspaper when it used to only take you 20 minutes.
The amount of equipment that clutters your house for one tiny baby!!
The best part: snuggling with a newborn nuzzled under your chin while they are all curled up and sleeping on your chest.
Answer:
The worst was realizing how exhausted that you can be when you come home from the hospital & not being able to take a shower daily.
The best was the huge & amazing love that I felt where I thought that my heart would burst. The coziness of cuddling while nursing.

The worst - Our doctor told us we had a 7 pound baby and we went in to be induced a few days after my due date. We started at 6:30 am, and I was fully dialated at 7:30pm. After 3 hours of pushing, failed vaccum and failed forcepts, we had an emergency c-section. I was in sooooooooooo much pain! Our "little" boy turned out to be 9 pounds and 11 ounces, ( I only weight 110 when not pregnant)!!
The best changes everyday! In the beginning all the love, nursing, napping together, that great sense of satisfaction that comes from being a mother. As he learns more my best part keeps changing, He is 14 months now and he'll step out of the room for a second and then run back in a "scare" us, like we didn't know where he was. I have to grab him like five times a day and just squeeze him because he brings me so much joy!

This is my best part also! I miss those days. I can't wait to have another!
The worst: Is not realizing how much sleep I was going to loose!
Answer:
Don't know if I have a worst. She's about a month old now and... a pretty good baby compared to what I hear from others sometimes. I've never been able to sleep completely through the night. I wake up A LOT through out the night, so having to feed her hasn't affected me and how I feel when I get up in the morning really. And she's not a very fussy baby.
Best... hmm... I'm not sure. People say they didn't know you could love someone so much that you just met, and it's true. I didn't know I could be this happy. Looking at her, thinking my husband and I made it possible for her to be here, and she's our daughter...
With her/ the birth the worst thing though was having to get a C-section. I really wanted to do a vaginal birth, but she was stubborn from the beginning and didn't want to move to the right position! Lol
Answer:
I agree, I still can't believe how much I could get done being so sleep deprived! Also, that I really did get my first gray hairs after my babies were born!
Answer:
Post partum contractions....it felt very much like labor for me (but extended for a few days longer)
