Bunny Problem

Ask:
I am a nature and animal lover but a Bunny (I think) is eating my leaves on my bulb plants. Any suggestions on how to keep them out of my flower bed?
Answer:

Bummer ~ Rabbits can do damage to a plant quickly. You could try a fence (like chicken wire) around the preimeter. Until they get smart enough (or hungry enough) to dig under it this may deter them enough to find another place to eat. Though it's kinda ugly.

I have also heard (but have never tried) that they really dislike Pepper. A Red Pepper spray on your plants or grinding up red peppers and placing them in your garden is supposed to keep both rabbits and squirrels away.

HTH some - maybe someome else will have some other options

I have always had trouble with rabbits and my crocus (and other early spring bulbs). I currently have chives coming up about 3 feet away from a rabbit hole and am surprised they haven't eaten it yet.
Answer:

Try 'Blood Meal'. It comes as a powder in the gardening section. Sprinkle around the plants they tend to munch on and they should stay away. But you will need to re-apply after rain or heavy dew. Hope it helps!
