Did you listen to Imus?

Ask:
Until the news reports about what he said came out, I had NO idea who this Imus guy was. I certainly never listened to him. Yet, supposedly he was the third most popular talk show host on radio. I listen to talk radio all day long (almost). I must be listening to the wrong station.
Answer:

I have seen him on tv once or twice, but like you had no idea he was in the top 3!
Answer:

i had never heard of him before all the mess.
Answer:

Id heard him a couple times but I think him, howard stern and all the rest like em are trashy.Smus is not my idea of humor.
Answer:

Way back in the early 80's when MTV and VH1 were becoming popular, Don Imus used to be the veejay for one of the stations (I think it was VH1). I was an MTV/VH1 junky back in my teen years, so that's the only reason I'm familiar with Imus. I don't listen to talk radio, so I've never heard his show.

From what I remember from back then, Don Imus was an a*$. Apparently, he still is.
Answer:

I watched him a little bit a few years ago on MSNBC in the mornings. His dry/sick humor is how I feel in the mornings . But I haven't watched him in a long time. I don't condone what he said but I do think NBC is over-reacting by firing him.
Answer:

He's not on in all markets. He's not on here in Detroit. Howard Stern used to be on here. I knew who Imus was from that - Howard Stern hates Imus. It's also mentioned in Howard Stern's movie "Private Parts" which is actually a pretty funny movie (story of his life). My impression is that Imus used to be funnier/edgier years ago, but is now just a crotchety old guy. I think what he said was wrong, but I don't think he should have been fired for it. Politicians have said worse & they are actually in positions of power.
