Ask:
Do you think they are worth it? If you have one do you use it for anything other than juice?
We don't make homemade juice very often, but some recipes I do make call for orange, lemon or lime juice and I think they taste better with the real thing ~ not from a bottle. Just don't know how often I would use it.
Answer:
I have a manula for the exact reason you said...you dont use it all the time....manuals are smaller and cheaper...hence for me less money spent...and less room used up.
Unless your shooing for veggie carrots etc juice...I mainly to lemons oranges etc...I am perfectly happy with manual.
Answer:
I've got an electric one and really use it in phases since it is kinda large. I don't think I'd ever use a manual one.
My 5yo dd loves to make juice, but sometimes it's a pain to cut up/peel some of the stuff.
OUr fav's are carrots, apples, oranges, celery, peppers. I like to throw in some that are about to go bad like the end of a cuke or something and try to put in a little clove of garlic and some ginger. Now you've got me thinkin we'll make some tomorrow, I think the carrots are on their way out! Thx!
Answer:
If you are just using it for the occasional recipe I would get a manual one. I have an electric one and I love it. It's not very big, just a container with the juicer on top which spins around, but I can juice 1 gallon of lemon juice easy (we use lemons from the tree and freeze it to make lemonade with later). If you have a fruit tree I would highly recommend it!
