I had to write and share with you all a miracle that happened today.
Some of your remember me talking about our huge surprise (long story) tax hit we got this year. Our taxes here aren't due until April 30th. We had no idea where we were going to come up with the money to pay it off. We were considering cashing in our life insurance policies but even that was going to take 6 -8 weeks and we need the money now.
But then a few days ago I noticed a large deposit in our bank account similar to the size of our tax bill. No one else knows our account numbers and no one else knows our story. I knew it must have been some sort of mistake. The deposit said "internal Transfer". I was confused. And then I get a letter today saying my 5 year GIC was complete and the funds had been deposited in my account as per requested 5 years ago.
Five years ago my Grams died and left me that money. I was just home for the funeral and went back overseas shortly after. I put it in 5 year GIC that came through just as our prayers being sent to heaven were calling out for just that amount. God knew that timing. I didn't but He did. It came just in time. It's a miracle!
edited to add: GIC is a guaranteed investment certificate .. not sure what they are called in the US. You have to keep it in for a set time in order to earn the higher interest that is guaranteed.
