I chew extra spearmint gum. I'm bad and chew 2 pieces at once which I'm going to cut down to 1 piece at a time. But I just started the coupon thing and got my grandma to give me hers out of the Sunday paper and she is going to save them for me each week.
Anyways in our local grocery store there is a ad for 3 packs (large packs) of extra gum for $2. Then I have a coupon for $1 off of 3 packs. So I'm gonna get 3 packs of gum (which usually is $1.19 a pack) for $1.
Small thing I know but I'm starting to see how this can work. My store only doubles coupons up to .50 though.
ETA: I know I could save more on it if I cut out the gum but this is a good deal I think and just an example of me understanding how this works.

Last week the grocery store had them on sale for $1 a 10 pack. So all that gum is free.
Good catch on the sale thou. Some people use a software to track the coupons they have on file. I think some folks copy and paste taylortown into excel and sort.
Me, I use a pay site it does it for me for I doubt I would have noticed the sale on my own. I catch a few sales on my own but I'm just too darn lazy to do so....
