One of those tulle, mesh, mosquito netting canopy things over our bed! DH really liked it awhile back and sent me out last night to Bed Bath and Beyond with my coupons to get one. It is romantic looking, and I have been looking for new bedding for months. The room is green, kinda sage green, and the curtains are the big sheer scarf type. So I have one of those that is ivory. We got the ivory netting thing. I am thinking if I can find ivory bedding, maybe I can just get green sheets or pillows. It is hard to match the green to the curtains and paint. And I like the look of the folded blanket at the foot of the bed the magazines are showing. I thought I can do something like that. I just wanted to share we got a 'tent' in our room. . Now to get the baby into his own crib and out of the playpen in our room...
Answer:
Im so jealous! I would love to have one over my bed but DH is totally against drilling anything into the walls or ceiling. It sounds so pretty!
Answer:
It sounds like exactly what we want to do - color and all! Same challenge, too.
Answer:
although my room is completely diff in style its similar..I have the blanket on the bed too...LOVE THAT!
Answer:
Don't worry about picking the exact shade to match the walls.. As long as it's in the same family you can get a comforter that has a tone of the wall color and it'll go together just fine. Pull the colors together with a couple throw pillows that have both tones (again you don't have to match perfectly, but if one is lighter than the other, get fabric that has both lighter and darker elements to it) and an ivory in the fabric and it'll look completely cohesive. It sounds beautiful. I have a plan to do something like that in our room, but not with the netting stuff. If we ever get the $ to do it, I'd love to do it all in one day and surprise DH when he gets home at night.
